On Saturday 2nd July 2011, Taekwon-do Wales and Taekwon-do Academy of Wales hosted a tournament specifically designed for young children aged 4-8yrs.

The intention of the Lil’ Taekwon-do Tournament was to provide a fun and safe environment for our youngest students to get their first exposure to the competitive environment of Taekwon-do tournaments, without any pressure to spar.

The tournament was held at Llantrisant Leisure Centre, Cardiff and was attended by 62 competitors from 5 clubs as well as over 100 spectators. Categories at the event were:

• Catch The Dragons Tail
• High Kicking
• Flying Side Kick
